The famous pink-fleshed apple - yellow skin over bright pink flesh, tasted here in late August. I love Pink Pearl. It’s wonderfully tart with enough sweetness to be pleasant eating out of hand, and the flesh is crisp and dense. It’s like eating the sugar at the bottom of a bag of Sour Patch Kids. Picked too early it’s unpleasantly tart, but it sweetens up nicely with a little time.
